The 2014 edition of Asia Clean Energy Summit (ACES 2014) has been held on the 28th and 29th October at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center.
The event has brought together representatives of research institutes, players in the solar industry, financial institutions and insurance companies and has explored current situation and future perspectives of solar power in Asia, with special attention to new financing models such as Solar Leasing.
The financial track of the summit has focused on the concept of asset bankability and insurability, both increasingly applicable to solar PV assets as perceived risk decreases thanks to a trackrecord of succesful investment in this sector.
In general, the landscape of the solar industry in Asia outlined by the keynote speakers at ACES 2014 seems a very dynamic and promising one, where public institutions, financing partners and solar PV installers are effectively catalyzing their efforts to promote sustainable economic growth.
